Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don’t have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. Water is your body’s principal chemical component, comprising about 60 percent of your weight.

Water is also possibly the single most important catalyst in losing weight and keeping it off. You lose water everyday when you breath, perspiration or most probably through urine so for your body to function properly you need the required amount of water again and you usually have it by consuming beverages or foods that contains water.
